Hello...I live in an isolated community and travel to this Training weekend is a three hour drive away for me (each way). It means yet another weekend away from my family. My church would pay the $100 fee, but we are struggling and my travel and accomodation would have to be paid for by myself, which I don't mind as long as it's really worth going and I'm going to learn some good stuff. No one else is interested in going, so I'd be going alone. We don't have any paid staff right now. I would be interested to hear from people who have participated in this Congregational Training to see how they have benefitted from it and would they recommend going and why...or not. This will help me make the decision as to whether I'm going to go or not. Your comments would be appreciated. Thanks.
Hi Shutterkat,
Thanks for posting your question. I suggest posting it also in the Best Practices welcoming" section as well -- more people might see it there. You also might try asking it on WonderCafe in the Social section. There have been several threads addressing this issue there. Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Aaron
