A thread that defies the data runs through the Christmas story...God reaches out to those who are on the verge of sliding into despair and beginning to believe predictions that the worst is yet to come! As Christians we believe this same God is still on the loose. God continues to reach for the poor, the lonely, the refugee, and those who do not find a place. The early stories do not dwell upon all the doors that close, but shine the light upon the unlikely messengers, the shepherds and the angels, who call out with Good News. This Advent may we be gifted with a quickened curiosity about what God may be up to in our midst. A blessed Christmas to you and yours,
