Keith is Executive Director of the Emerging Spirit. This followed a period of 8 years founding and running a small communications firm outside the church. Prior to this he served congregations in Sundre, Alberta and Victoria, BC. His postgraduate degrees are in the field of Christian Social Ethics. His Masters thesis, "Justice: A Search for Clarity" and his doctoral work "The Social Justice Witness of the United Church of Canada in British Columbia" (focusing upon a role for the United Church in the adoption of the Nisga'a Treaty) both focus upon redefinition of the role of the church in the public realm in a postmodern era. With his wife, Gaye Sharpe, he parents five children and has three grandchildren.
